Bailey & Harper

This styled boho shoot was absolutely dreamy. You’d never guess it was early February! (Crazy Virginia weather amirite?!?) These photos show how pure and sweet this mama and daughter bond is.

Harper definitely preferred being in her mama’s arms and although she wasn’t a fan of my homemade crown, she was a trooper and was happy as can be.

Kate and I met working at Lynchburg General together about three years ago and we have been pretty much inseparable ever since. It was literally love at first sight. Our husband/fiances can tell you how obsessed we are with each other.  When she told me she was pregnant last year, I cried. for days. This beautiful boy has brought so much joy to every single person who has ever met him. To know Asher is to adore him. He has his mama's eyes and his daddy's smile.

These photos were taken the day after his FIRST BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday, Asher Lewis. You have a chunk of my heart forever. You are loved beyond measure.

Leathie- 2018 Altavista Senior

I don't know I was more envious of... Leathie's gorgeous blonde hair or her STUNNING blue eyes. WOW! Part one of Leathie's senior portrait session was taken on the Blackwater Creek Trail & Downtown Lynchburg. Part two was taken at my house in Evington, VA. Leathie was always eager to try any idea I had in mind and we got some amazing shots because of that! The humidity was CRAZY but she was such a trooper!! I love seeing the beginning of fall in these photos.

Leathie, thank you for allowing me to take your senior portraits. I hope you have the BEST year!

Black & White Kitchen Engagement Shoot

These two fell in love cooking together in the kitchen. They got engaged in the kitchen.. andddd they're having pizza at their wedding. Where else would we take their engagement photos?

This was the first in-home engagement session I have ever done and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. These photos capture the genuine love and admiration these two have for one another.

Julia & Zach, happiness truly radiates both of you when you're together. I absolutely cannot wait for your wedding and I'm so excited to watch your magical journey continue.

Dawson- 2018 JF Senior

I'll start off by saying that Dawson was the most photogenic guy I have ever photographed. Let's be real, most guys aren't super excited about taking pictures (and that's FINE). Dawson on the other hand was SO awesome to work with and was up for anything!! I found out while shooting with him that he wants to model in the future so it's no wonder he was such a natural in front of the camera.

Dawson is graduating from Jefferson Forest High School and plans on applying to several schools in North Carolina. I'm honored that I was able to capture this super significant time in his life.

I hope your senior year is the BEST, Dawson! See you in GQ one day...  :)

Logan Family

For this family session, we went to one of my favorite spots- Edgewood Farms in Evington. We had a blast and I'm so pleased that I got a ton of super sweet candids. You can really see the love that this family has for one another... especially between these brothers :)

Can't wait to work with you guys again!

Abby- 2018 Altavista Senior

When Abby asked me to take her senior pictures, I was so excited! I've known her family my whole life and she has always been so sweet and has a TON of natural beauty. For her session, she wanted to incorporate some of her favorite things.. soccer and horses. I couldn't be happier with how these turned out.

Abby, thank you so much for letting me capture this time in your life! Have an incredible senior year!

Kinsley- Cake Smash

For Kinsley's first birthday, her mom wanted to do something special and fun. We started the session off with some portraits of the sweet birthday girl and then her big sisters joined in for a few shots!! We saved the best for last-- CAKE. Because honestly, what better way to celebrate your first birthday??

I loved this session and I'm so pleased with how the photos turned out. Cake Smashes are an excellent way to document a milestone. Nothing is cuter than a sweet little girl (or boy) devouring their cake without a care in the world. :)

I photographed Madeline before her prom back in April and shortly after I asked her if she would be my model. It's totally not fair that a 16 year old is THIS photogenic. When I was 16, I had braces & a baby face. (actually I still have a baby face)

Moooving on..

For this session, I envisioned a forest-y, edgy vibe and Madeline NAILED it. I cannot wait to work with her again!

Caroline | In-Home Session

I drove down to Greensboro to take photos of some sweet cousins of mine. My newest cousin, Caroline, stole the show with her beautiful grin and ADORABLE little rolly legs. She also has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. We had so much fun! I love how personal and candid in-home sessions are. I think these photos show her silly, happy personality.
